Duke Leopold VI of Babenberg (1198-1230) once gathered his nobles and subjects at Lilienfeld Abbey. Even today, it still has several medieval rooms that are available for all kinds of events with a wonderful atmosphere.

Cellar The Cellarium

The Cellarium essentially dates back to the 13th century and was used as a storage room or cellar in the Middle Ages.

Dormitorium

Sleepless The dormitory (Dormitorium)

In the Middle Ages, the Dormitorium served as a dormitory for the lay brothers of the monastery. It dates back to the 13th century but underwent a number of changes in the 15th and 18th centuries.

Facilities: 350 armchairs, stage, heating

Refektorium

Dining Room Refectory

This room served as a dining room for the lay brothers of the monastery in the Middle Ages. However, little of its medieval structure has been preserved.
