Coming from the west or east:
Take the train to St. Pölten Central Station, then transfer to the Traisentalbahn (R55) toward Hainfeld / Schrambach and get off at Lilienfeld Station. From Lilienfeld Station, the abbey is just a 5-minute walk away.
Alternatively, you can take regional bus lines 690, 691, or 692, which run regularly between Lilienfeld, St. Pölten, and the surrounding communities. Stop: “Lilienfeld Bahnhof”

Lilienfeld Abbey is located in the heart of the Traisen Valley in Lower Austria and is easily accessible via well-maintained roads.
From Vienna: Take the A1 Westautobahn toward St. Pölten – take the St. Pölten Süd exit, then follow the B20 toward Mariazell until you reach Lilienfeld (travel time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes).
From Linz / coming from the west: Take the A1 Westautobahn to the St. Pölten Süd exit, then continue on the B20 toward Mariazell to Lilienfeld (travel time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes).
Free visitor parking is available in the abbey parking lot. Tour buses may also use this visitor parking lot free of charge.

From St. Pölten, the well-maintained Traisental Bike Path (Bike Path No. 4) winds leisurely along the Traisen River to Lilienfeld (approx. 25 km, mostly flat and family-friendly). The route is signposted throughout and offers numerous places to stop for refreshments and rest areas along the way.
Bicycle parking is available right at the main entrance (West Gate) of the abbey. Charging stations for e-bikes are available in the immediate vicinity (e.g., in the abbey courtyard near the abbey tavern).
